INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION OF CONTEMPORARY CERAMIC ART – 2015

The International Competition of Contemporary Ceramic Art, arranged by the International Museum of Ceramics in Faenza Foundation onlus, is without thematic restrictions and it is open to individual artists or groups without age restrictions.

The photocopy of the identity card must be presented.

For collective works the artists must nominate one representative who will be the liaison during every stage of the competition. Participation may also be arranged by Ministries, Cultural Organizations, Associations etc.

Each competitor may present a maximum of three works (maximum size for each work 3 cubic meters).

Works can be created using any ceramic technique. The works can include the use of other materials but the majority should be ceramic.

The artists must declare that the works belongs to them, that they have been created in the lasttwo years and that they have not been entered into other competitions.

If the rules are not respected the Jury and the MIC Foundation reserve the right to exclude the work from the exhibition and to withdraw any prizes awarded for it.

The winners of the 58^th Competition (Faenza Prizes and Cersaie Prize) will not be allowed to participate in the 59^th Competition.

The Competition is divided in 2 separated sections: one reserved to artistsunder 40 years old (within December 31^st 2014) and the other for artistsover 40 years old.

The participation is free, but subjected to a payment of 20 euro fee for administrative costs, only for participants “over 40”.

The Jury, during the works of selection for the final step of the Competition, is allowed to see the curricula of the participants.

Applications must be registered online within November 24^th 2014.
