Guldagergaard proudly presents the 2nd European Woodfire Conference August 28th -31st 2014
The Conference will be held in and around the small harbour town of Skælskør, which lies 170 kms South-West of Copenhagen on the island of Zealand.
The opening address, reception and some lectures will take place in the theatre of Borreby Castle, demonstrations, workshops and discussion groups will be held at the International Ceramic Research Center, Guldagergaard; while exhibitions of woodfired work will take place all around the town.
One focus of the conference will be on the new generation of wood-firers who we invite to present their work, their techniques, kilns, hopes, dreams and even the failures they have learnt from. A second focus will be on woodfiring in Europe – today and in the past.
Conference fee: DKK 1950 (about 260 euro) includes dinner on the opening night and two lunches
Students in full-time education pay only DKK 450 (about 60 euro) (to cover meals) (limited amounted spaces)
